Clinton County is proud to provide environmental education opportunities for the community. A range of topics are available, and activities can easily be tailored to meet requests. Programs are offered for formal and informal education settings, as well as for youth and community groups.

City of Lansing Capital Area Recycling and Trash (CART) believes educating the community about the values of recycling and waste reduction is critical. Therefore, they participate in a variety of events and activities each year. Those include:
- Earth Day and America Recycles Day activities
- Free curbside collection and educational presentations to Lansing schools
- Lansing Home & Garden Show information and booth
- Recycle Rama (annual Spring collection event)
- Special collections for latex paint, household medicine, and other materials
